1. 4 1 The Republican, Tuesday, December 2, 2008 B5 Margaret M. Ross 1922 2008 FEEDING HILLS Margaret M. Ross, 86 of North Westfield St. and formerly of Walnut Agawam, died Sunday in Mercy Medical Center.

She was born in North Adams, MA. Nov. 16, 1922 the daughter of the late Merton Florence (Watt) Ross. Miss Ross was a longtime member of Old First Church having joined in 1937 and where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for 35 years. She was also an active Soup Kitchen volunteer.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, including Shirley McCready, Jeffrey (Beverly) Tisdel, Merrill (Geraldine Alfano). Tisdel, Stanley Richard Ross and Carleton Ross, Jr. The funeral will be at DickinsonStreeter Funeral Home, 305 State Springfield Thursday at 11:00 A.M. There will be a calling hour preceding the service from 10 to time of service. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Open Pantry, 287 State St. 01105. Dickinson-Strecter 733-2129 Anthony A. Fusco 1931 --2008 NORTHAMPTON Anthony Armand Fusco, 77, of Coles Rd. ruary 13, 1931, he was the son of the late Anthony and Giovanina (Ricciardelli) Fusco.

Tony graduated -from Springfield Technical High School and attended Western New England College. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the submarine U.S.S. Entemedor and earned the National Defense Service and Navy Occupation medals. Prior to leaving for military service, Tony worked at the Springfield Armory.

Upon his return home he was employed in -Research and Development at Gilbert and Barker Manufacturing Company, where he developed a patented oil-saving device. When the company relocated, Tony became Operations Engineer at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. After 24 years there, he retired in 1990 as Assistant Superintendent of Physical Plant. Ile was a resourceful engineer and a dedicated and respected manager. Tony was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the American Bouvier des Flandres Club and a past treasurer.

He belonged to the Springfield, Holyoke and Pioneer Valley Kennel Clubs and the A.C.E. Agility Club. He held office in many of those clubs over the years. Tony enjoyed traveling in his motorhome to dog shows to exhibit his Bouviers des Flandres. George, G'Whiz and Gypsy, his dogs, will miss the loving care he gave them.

Tony enjoyed spending time with his family vacationing and fishing in the surf on Captiva Island, Florida and at beaches in Maine and on Cape Cod. Tony was an encyclopedic fan of movies and an entertaining raconteur. Some of his adventures in the Mediterranean during his military service revolved around his striking resemblance to the actor Tony Curtis. This past August, Tony and his wife, Joyce Lak, celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Along with his wife, Tony leaves his loving children, Eda Gilday, Anthony S.

Fusco and Mario Fusco; his sister Josephine Frasier; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 1 p.m. at the Massachu- setts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
